Find the visible pixels of each image and crop away only the transparent border around them. The artwork keeps its original size and internal transparent areas stay intact.

Usage Instructions:

  1. Choose images or a ZIP containing PNG, JPEG or WebP files. Transparent PNGs are the usual input.
  2. Set padding in pixels. Use 0 for a tight crop or a positive value for extra space on every side.
  3. Generate the preview and check each image’s resulting dimensions.
  4. Download the PNG ZIP. If these are animation frames, send them to Animator or use Pixel Resize to give them a common canvas.

Pro Tips:

  • Trimming each frame can change its alignment during playback. Use a common canvas and check the animation before exporting.
  • Padding adds transparent space; it does not enlarge or sharpen the artwork.

Q: Can this remove a white or coloured background?
A: This tool removes transparent borders, not background colours. An opaque JPEG or white border stays in the image.

Q: What happens to a completely transparent image?
A: It becomes a transparent 1 × 1 PNG before padding is added. This avoids exporting an invalid zero-sized image.

Q: Are my images uploaded to a server?
A: Image processing takes place in this browser. Explicit transfers between tools are stored only in this browser and can be removed with Clear saved transfers.
